O·PARK2

China State Construction International Holdings Limited

O·PARK2 is located in Sha Ling, North District of Hong Kong. It is the largest kitchen waste recycling centre in Hong Kong. It is a representative green project operated by China State Construction International under the Design – Build and Operate (DBO) model. The 2.5-hectare project has been under construction since the end of 2019 and will be operational in early 2024. When operational, O·PARK2 is expected to handle 300 tonnes of industrial and commercial kitchen waste per day and reduce the annual shipment of about 110,000 tonnes of kitchen waste to landfills for disposal, solving about 10% of Hong Kong’s food waste problem. In addition, O·PARK2 will use international advanced processing technology to generate heat and power, and export surplus electricity to meet the daily demand of more than 5,000 households while operating the plant.
